There is now the right combination for some really exciting new companies - brilliant young minds and real business acumen.
There have been a handful of successful start-ups recently which is helping investor confidence but now we need a real blockbuster to put Oxford firmly on the start-up map.
while there is a strong culture of innovation and a large number of spin-outs and new ventures coming out of Oxford, it will take time for such an ecosystem in Oxford (and London) to mirror anything happening in the valley, of course.
