Facebook is no longer seen as the cool network.
Financially, this probably doesn't matter enormously because users seem to be drifting from Facebook to Instagram which really isn't a move at all. The question it does raise, however, is whether Facebook can continue to dominate without endlessly buying the next big thing.
Acquisitions being the engine for growth feels like a rather a risky strategy to me.
